The Goats (Copy)
Our farm is home to over 60 goats – some old, some young, and some with special needs. We also have a sweet rescue donkey named JoJo, and two sassy lady ducks known as The Brownies. Our goats are mostly mixes of La Mancha, Alpine, Saanen, and Boer. Some already lived here when we bought the property in 2016, while others were born during our first year at the farm.
Their original purpose was dairy production, but after 6 years running the dairy we discovered that goats have a more valuable skill – they excel at making people happy. In December 2022, we closed our dairy operation to focus on immersive farm experiences where visitors have the opportunity to interact with our goats, discover their affection, and have a good time.
You can learn about our goat care practices here and we invite you to follow our goats on Instagram and Facebook. You can also meet them in person during our public events, private farm tours, or during visiting hours if you become a sponsor. Special needs goats
Meet the goats that require a little more work than the rest. Some of them have mobility problems, special dietary requirements, and some require ongoing medical treatment. They are not part of the larger herd of goats because they would get bullied. These guys are part of a group that we call The Yardies because they spend most of their day in the yard around the farmhouse where we can keep an eye on them all day long.
