Summer Camp

On any given morning the farm is a quiet, serene place. The pace is slow and easy and the only sounds are coming from the dairy. It’s the bleat of "The Girls" jostling to be next in line for milking. But the quiet serenity will quickly change when the flowers are in bloom, the summer sun warms the air and the kids arrive!

Here at the farm we are very excited to offer Elodie Farms Summer Day Camp for your children. KIDS MAKE THE FARM. Suddenly the daily joys we tend to take for granted are brought to life with the inquisitive nature of a child. We're making it our goal that no matter the age, from 6 to 16, your kids will leave our farm at the end of the day with many memories to share and cherish. The idea isn't to encourage your kids to be future farmers, but to share with them the joy and fulfillment of working hard and reaping the benefits. No one person can run a farm. We'll rely on one another and along the way learn teamwork, patience, responsibility and where our food comes from.

We'll spend our mornings gathering eggs, feeding the animals, and getting dirty in the garden. Dave will share his passion of cheese-making with us and we'll pasteurize, stir and form our way to a fabulous cheese we made ourselves. We'll drop a line in the pond to see what's biting, look for clams along the shoreline, and maybe take a canoe out for a spin. We'll eat our lunch on a picnic table under the shade of the trees or inside the farm house gathered around the huge table... family style. Afternoons will be spent playing games, making ice cream from goat milk, and creating "recycled" art.

We are excited to welcome back friends from last year and look forward to meeting new faces this year! Our staff have lots of fun things in store and can't wait to instill some new camp traditions that your children will look forward to year after year. If you'd like to get acquainted with the director and the counselors as well as take a look around the farm please join us for Farm Day 2013 on April 7th, 2pm - 8pm. There will be music, yummy food and lots of fun!

When: Weeks of June 10th, June 24th, July 8th, July 22nd and August 5th.
Camp hours are 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m.
Before and after care is available.

Cost: $250.00 tuition ($25 discount per sibling). A deposit of $125.00 will ensure that your spot has been reserved.
A.M. care (7:30- 8:30) $25.00 additional per week.
P.M. care (4:30- 6:00) $37.50 additional per week.
Both A.M. and P.M. care $50.00 additional per week.
Transportation to and from Northgate Mall $10.00 per day.
